Krishak vikash Samity Motihari (KVS) was established on 16th June 1995. It is a non-profit organization by the group of dedicated young and rural development professionals. Since inception, being voluntary organization it has been engaged in forming community development activities, mobilizing local and external resources. KVS has been quite successful in creating a definite niche for organizing various developmental initiatives is wishing its twenty six years of operation. During this period KVS has been focused on its longstanding commitment to mobilize areas concerned in social and development issues. KVS always believes in working towards and facilitating the community level group especially for the women, children and other under privileged groups. Being genuinely development oriented organization, KVShas been able to play a role of catalyst in its operational area and garner public support for its quality activities, transparency and dedication. KVS is maintaining balanced relation with different Government Department and agencies in East Champaran, West Champaran and Sheohar, Bihar, to organize developmental initiatives for deprived community.A large number of funding institutions has extended their support for various activities undertaken by KVS like NABARD, AATMA, DRDA, KVK, District Animal Husbandry, Disaster Management and Health departments, etc.

purpose of the organization
1. To increase crop production by forming a group of farmers of rural areas and training them in modern farming in a scientific way and by giving training to farmers on production of vermicompost and motivating them to use vermicompost in agriculture and chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Giving information to the farmers regarding the losses due to excessive use of crop, through training, meetings, farmers, chaupals
2. Grouping the agricultural laborers doing farming on Honda Bataidar Lease and encouraging them to do organic farming by giving them agricultural training and providing them organic fertilizers, seeds, agricultural machinery, grant-in-aid and providing market for crop production to get a fair price and advanced farming. Calling agricultural scientists for training and making efforts to increase the income of farmers by training, observing, visiting them to cultivate medicines.
3. By forming a group of helpless women of rural and urban areas, opening a savings account in the bank and providing them employment by providing them loans from the bank, and by providing internal loans to the group members, the savings amount of the group is given to the poor of the group at the high rate of interest of the moneylender. emancipation of women
4. To provide employment to poor helpless women, unemployed youth, migrant laborers and migrant laborers by setting up industries by providing loan assistance grant donations from the bank.

2. Brief description of the progress of works done so far by Krishak Vikash Samity, Motihari:-
1) With the financial support of NABARD, 500 lks self-help groups have been formed in East Champaran district and by providing loans from banks, animal husbandry and agriculture work and employment have been made available to the members of the group.
2) With the financial support of NABARD, employment has been made available to the women members of the group by training them in vermicompost production, mushroom production and sewing cutting etc.
3) Women self-help groups have been made aware by organizing awareness camps for health, education, environment, cleanliness.
4) Women and their children have been made aware of their rights by organizing Women and Child Rights Seminar.
5) Common people have been made aware for the prevention of child marriage, drug addiction, women harassment, child labor by organizing awareness camps.
6) By making the illiterate parents of child laborers aware about education, girls have been enrolled in the school to give equal education to boys and girls.
7) Relief material was distributed among the victims of natural calamity flood and arson
8) To avoid corona epidemic in COVID-19 Corona Lockdown, masks were made available to the people by making them aware and aid material has been distributed to poor helpless people in COVID-19 Corona
3. Project proposal of Krishak Vikash Samity Motihari to fulfill the following targets from year 2020 to 2021. 1) To provide employment to 10,000 migrant laborers and migrant laborers by setting up industries in their villages in East Champaran and West Champaran districts of Bihar state during COVID-19 Corona lockdown. Motivated by the organization Krishak Vikash Samity, Motihari, to make them self-sufficient by setting up industry in the village, and to set up industry, by collecting bank loan and indigenous foreign aid grant donations, they are required to buy at least machines and raw materials for setting up industry per unit. 50,000 (fifty thousand rupees) and maximum 10,00000 (ten lakh rupees) to provide assistance
2) Distribution of cash assistance amount of 2,50000 (Rupees two lakh fifty thousand) per person by collecting donation grant assistance to 50 poor helpless people who do not have a pucca house, to make them a pucca house.
3) Forming 100 groups of agricultural laborers doing farming on Hunda Batai Lease, providing grant-in-aid assistance as per their need to purchase agricultural machinery, fertilizers, seeds and training them to do organic farming, providing grant-in-aid for setting up vermicompost production unit and medicines. Motivating agricultural laborers for farming and making them available market for the sale of crop production and making farmers aware about the losses due to use of chemical fertilizers and toxic pesticides and providing them assistance for setting up agricultural machinery and vermicompost units. A
4) By collecting donations to the victims of natural calamities such as floods and arson, distribution of assistance through checks as per requirement.
5) To the people suffering from difficult diseases, taking domestic and foreign donations and distributing them through checks as per requirement.
6) Surveying the child laborers to free them from child labor and providing free education to the freed laborers by opening schools.
7) In the marriage of poor helpless 100 hundred girls, domestic foreign aid grant by collecting donations, the amount of assistance in marriage is available to them, at least 25000 (twenty five thousand rupees) per girl in marriage, maximum 50000 (fifty thousand rupees) by check grant aid
8) Distribution of at least 5,000 (Rupees five thousand) per person and not more than 50,000 rupees as donation assistance to the agricultural laborers to buy goat rearing, poultry, quail rearing and milch animals, cow buffalo, to increase their income.
9) To make people aware about health, education, cleanliness, environment by organizing awareness camps and spending Rs.5,000 (five thousand rupees) per program
10) By giving training to poor unemployed women in tailoring, cutting, making incense sticks, making spices, packaging bindi making, etc., to set up an industry, to buy production machines and raw materials, at least 5,000 rupees (five thousand rupees) and maximum 2, Providing 00000 amount through check so that the trained women can become self-sufficient by establishing their own enterprise and providing employment to the women's production goods by promoting the sale.
